We welcome Juanma Llopis back to the Piston Recordings fold with the fantastic Ssh EP. This one also features a collaboration with Ludiguer on the track Speech Tears. Hailing from Spain, we last saw Juanma on remix duties for Andy Bach’s Ibiza Sunset from early Summer 2018. A lover of music he is heavily influenced by House, Tech House and Chillout among other genres and he is able to turn his hand to many styles, but Deep House is where he mostly resides. He started out in 1999 and DJing took him all over Spain, but it wasn’t until 2013 when he began to produce his own sounds and, to date he has released on several top labels with great support on labels like, Joyfull Family Records, Sound Mass Records and Vandalism Musique. Nice to see him once again.
Ssh opens with a cool rhythmic drum patter and a teasing plucky bass. Nice punchy kick drums fire up the groove as warbling keys lace the sound alongside cool vocals. The keys stand out beautifully in the mix, complimenting bass. The bassline is infectious in its minimal form and will definitely allow for some creative butt shaking. The track carries a solid club vibe that will definitely light up the floor.
Juanma joins forces with Ludiguer on Speech Tears which intros with a solid kick and crispy hi hat combi alongside warm chords and cosmic sweeping FX. A bouncy bassline comes through to ramp up the groove, delivering an upbeat kinda vibe as those keys dish out interesting rhythmic patterns. A top-notch track that will most definitely fire up the floor.
