DJ and producer Gregore Konstantine is back at Piston Recordings with the fantastic Stop Me EP. This one follows his debut from early 2018 with Street Jam EP and no doubt we’re in for another tasty treat. Hailing from Switzerland, he started to mix in 1996 playing Hip Hop, Soul and RnB. After 12 years playing in different clubs, he decided to change his musical orientation. In 2008 he got into House from Chicago and Techno from Detroit and he hasn’t looked back since. He has graced the decks at various clubs including Mytic, Khaos Club, L’apart, Zanzi Bar, Sea, Soccer & Sun, Le Klow and he has been releasing quality sounds since 2014.
We get a dosing of tech house from Stop Me, although one thing is for sure, this track will not stop you dancing. Right from the intro we’re locked in. Nice chunky beats are layered with a deep bassline that weaves through the groove effortlessly creating a strong tech vibe. Cool vocals are scattered throughout with a more hypnotic vocal found lurking. The drum section gets the rhythm flowing while short stabby chords add a little extra flavour. A definite mover here that is not to be missed.
Give Me One intros with a solid beat alongside a shuffling percussion arrangement. A few bars in we are introduced to a wonderful, deep rolling bassline that gets the dancing juices excited. A classic style vocal comes in adding a nostalgic vibe to a tight tech joint. A beautifully crafted slice here that delivers a hypnotic groove making it the perfect fodder for the peak time set, no doubt.
