Long standing Piston artist Eat Dust is back with some more tech house goodness. Mario Silva continues to delight with his brand of tech house joints. This time around we get two scorching cuts on Whoring Streets. Last time out we got the fantastic Cachofarra EP which was very well received indeed. Always a pleasure when his new stuff drops into the mailbox.
Whoring Streets wastes no time in getting down to a steady rhythmic tech house club groove. Tight beats and shuffling percussions are joined by a deep rooted, probing bassline that soaks up the low frequencies effortlessly. Cool FX and infectious vocals litter the sound adding depth and colour. The break offers a more surreal take before we’re thrust back into full on mode for the duration. Superb stuff that is not to be missed.
Rockin Sneakers dishes out a much deeper tech vibe than its counterpart. Pumping kicks are matched with a subtle hi hat and prominent sharp claps. A deep bassline lurks on the low end while metallic percussions create a cool texture in the mid section. Space age FX swirl around the groove adding that cosmic effect as well as beefing up the rhythms. One for the late night sessions here that will most definitely rock the floors.
