Andy Bach joins us at Piston Recordings with a superb debut slice titled Ibiza Sunset. Prolific DJ and producer Andy started to showcase his skills back in 1995 when he started to DJ in different clubs around Europe. He developed a partnership with producer Manou De Jean and together they created a unique music symbiosis. Several releases followed gaining international acclaim from top jocks and fellow artists. The following years has seen Andy release music on a plethora of labels, building quite an impressive back catalogue.
The Original Mix delivers a super fresh slice of deep house grooves thanks to a beautiful chord progression and groovy ass bassline. Tight beats keep us moving to the rhythm as we soak up the Ibiza inspired vibe. High strings add nice club flavour alongside simple and effective vocal snippets. This one will keep the party rocking, not to be missed.
Juanma Llopis returns to Piston, this time he is on remix duties delivering a fine rendition of Ibiza Sunset. Spanish artist Juanma is heavily influenced by house music, tech house and chill out among other genres. He started out in 1999 but it wasn’t until 2013 when he began to produce his own sounds and, to date he has released on several top labels with great support. His last outing here was back in the Summer of 2017 with Sowilo and we’re happy to see him back again. On the remix here the beat comes in with a nice thump alongside a bright hi hat and mutes chords that rise up to dominate the groove. A deep probing bassline rocks the low end while the drum section layers up. Funky guitar licks come through accompanied by smooth piano keys. A bouncy number for the floors and a must have no doubt.
Istanbul, Turkey based artist Sinan Kaya debuts on Piston with a fine remix to make an instant impression that will definitely last. Sinan loves to create unique sounds, providing a vision for life. Over the years his works have appeared on many labels and he always enjoys great support. A welcome addition to the Piston roster. The remix delivers a sublime piece of deep house music with a rich dusting of quality sounds. Rhythmic drums with a hint of tribal share the spectrum with hypnotic basses, lush chords and brass stabs alongside dancing keys which all make for a good time on the floor. Throw in some extra spicy club sounds and you’ve got a track that will always deliver.
The Dub Mix offers up a surreal alternative take on the original. A much deeper groove is evident with the dubby bassline creating just the right vibe. The main hook gets a filtered makeover creating a highly infectious sequence. One for the late night sets that will not disappoint.
On the Rhodes Mix we’re treated to the same fresh baked groove as the original but with an added sprinkling of magical keys. It’s easy to get lost in the moment with this track, it draws you in, forcing your soul to dance along to the wonderful groove. This one gives us a superb moment on the break where a real funky sequence adds that extra layer. Super stuff yet again.
